1972: Bobby Fischer’s World Chess Championship

Comments

In this video, Levy Rozman [aka Gothamchess] describes in brief the 1972 World Chess Championship between challenger Bobby Fischer of the United States and defending champion Boris Spassky of the Soviet Union. As I have described elsewhere, 1972 World Chess Championship re-introduced me the world of chess.

As an aside, the first book I ordered to reacquiant myself with chess was Levy Rozman’s book “How to Win at Chess: The Ultimate Guide for Beginners and Beyond.” I highly recommend it for beginners as well as for those in need of a refresher.
