On August 27, 2025, I posted a podcast that described how Magnus Carlsen defied chess orthodoxy by opening with the H file pawn. Here again he defies chess orthodoxy, this time by opening with the A file pawn and then in quick succession, sacrifices [loses] his rook. But guess who wins.
